This week has been pretty intense with my new job and the cold. So please enjoy this post from last year…it’s a poem I wrote about Mexico 🙂
punta venado, playa del carmen
I hear you calling me through the frozen lake. “Rosa, ven aca“, you murmur through the bubbles pressing themselves against the massive ice sheet that was once Lake Michigan.
Te escucho llamarme a través del lago congelado. “Rose, come here”, se murmuraba a través de las burbujas de presionar contra la masiva capa de hielo que una vez fue el lago Michigan.
I hear you whispering my name with every stride through the snow banks. “Rosa, que haces?“, you inquire with every crunch of snow underfoot.
Te escucho susurrar mi nombre con cada paso a través de los bancos de nieve. “Rose, what are you doing?”, hace su consulta con cada crujido de la nieve bajo los pies.
I hear you screaming at me through the wind gusts. “Qué estás esperando por?”…
