Am I? Maybe you’re right, I just remembered a stay in Selva Lacandona, and another in the Amazon, at Leticia, on the Colombia, Brazil, Peru border. Both fab trips, but yes, mosquitoes can be bad. take vitamin B 20 days before. ๐
I’m just teasing you.!! Mosquitoes are horrible. And funny enough, they pay me no attention in the States. But in Mexico, I am like a rare and tasty dish to them.!! I once received more than 20 mosquitoe bites waiting to pick up a friend at the Cancun airport (which is surrounded by la selva).!! ๐
That is funny. There are two types of skin. One, my father, my sister, one of my daughters who catch any mosquito a mile around. The other, my mother, myself, who never get a mosquito bite. But it is deceiving: we do get bitten (I’ve had malaria several times in Africa) but we don’t feel the bites. Don’t swell or get red. Which is an advantage but doesn’t save you from malaria.
That is interesting.! Too bad not feeling or seeing the bites doesn’t save you from malaria
Depends on the mosquitoes. Insects are actually the worst enemies in the jungle. ๐
Always the pessimist.!! jajajaja…. The jungle is amazing especially on an ATV ๐
